In Ohio, Assistance dog means a dog that has been trained by a nonprofit or for-profit special agency and that is one of the following:

1. A Guide Dog: assists a blind person
2. A Hearing Dog: assists a deaf or hearing impaired person
3. A Service Dog: assists a person with a mobility impairment
